So slow! However slowly someone is walking they must have been told to slow down. Sit on the steps and look pensive, sit on a bench and look pensive, sit on the couch and look pensive. Female lead just stood there and didn’t answer or respond in any way to what someone said to her throughout the series - other characters didn’t understand her, she didn’t understand herself, so how could audience break through? Three stars for the background characters who made it almost watchable. Too much lacking in emotional intelligence except for the growth in the rich girl. Waiting on last episode and yet I don’t care. Of the 15 episodes I’ve watched (wanted to stop early on but hoped it would get better and then watched for lesser roles to develop) I don’t think I’d recommend unless you like watching an expressionless woman walking very, very slowly.

Disappointed that I invested so much time waiting for this show to move along. The premise was great and I liked the Shaman character. The female detective was annoying and kept threatening to arrest people for stupid reasons to get her way; she didn’t come across as a competent detective. I liked the older detective and his comedic role (“my friend’s cousin’s sister has a connection we might be able to use”). Some funny stuff with supporting characters: the lady that proposed to the Shaman and believed she was his fiancé. The 16 episodes could have been done in about 9 episodes and used the Shaman/profiler to work on other cases. The twist at the end of episode 16 could have been done earlier (because it was dragged out too long and other suspects were being eliminated). Could have been 5 stars based on premise of the profiler turned Shaman with his tech savvy sister and super fighter loyal friend with a dash of young inventor cafe employee (needed to use more of his inventions), but dragged out way too long. Why did I keep watching even though the female lead bugged me? I thought they would solve the case and move on. Potential to be more than one season if Shaman/profiler had new cases every few episodes and a different lead detective who is actually competent. Watch this if you have a lot of patience. There were times when I actually yelled in frustration, “Come on!” when it was so close to being great and got bogged down, and also when the female lead was just unintelligent and the male lead fell for her anyway. The computer whiz sister was smart and the female Shaman was smart, but to only have 2 smart women in 16 episodes? Come on! I guess there’s 2 more episodes but I don’t think they will change my review.
