While I had always viewed the Late Late show as something heartwarming to watch because of the Host, the mask has finally slipped off. James Corden and whoever allowed the script to get on the air, there is a saying that goes "If you do not have anything good to say, do not say it at all."
BTS came to the REPRESENT at the U.N.G.A SDGs for the Youth of Tomorrow. As a SPECIAL ENVOY to the President of Korea. There are so many ways to joke humorously with respect and yet poor judgment on the Host part allowed both BTS and Army to be the butt of the distasteful joke.
At the end of the day, BTS was able to reach out LIVE to a million viewers to watch a somewhat uninteresting U.N.G.A that many would not have tuned in if it wasn't for BTS. We all need reasons to support something, to want to do something, and BTS was our reason, and who made it possible for BTS to attend? U.N and the President of Korea made that happened. BTS was very honored that they were invited again and very humbled by the gesture. BTS makes such a great impact to the generation of today and tomorrow.
I'm from the 80s generation and not once while watching BTS speech that I wish that I was in the presence of Secretary-General António Guterres. I am more proud than ever that I support BTS and all of their achievements, even if my heart still beats like a 15-year-old girl.
