Surprised at how much I liked this film. I had seen previews, but I thought it would be a nice little predictable film, but it turned out to be much more than that. Paul Giamatti offers an award-winning performance, as does Dominic Sessa. It probes deeply into these two characters who end up having a great deal in common. The film offers a realistic picture of boarding school and the young men who attend it. Da Vine plays a moving role as the head of the cafeteria. We see the real divide between the wealthy students who attend the school and the staff. In addition, the score is terrific. As I mentioned , this film was a real surprise, and I believe will become a Christmas classic. It certainly made me feel good.
