Listen, youre going to get a whole lot of varying opinions on this miniseries but if you are going to listen to any of them listen to mine. I am a big time lover of anything war related. The reason being is war puts the ultimate price on everything. In war you are playing for keeps and rarely does the individual get a second try. Its higher stakes than anything else on the planet. Theres not a second half to be played or the game next week. You are in a situation where you are trying to kill your enemy, not beat them by a touchdown or score more points. Its the be all end all daily, as long as you are in the fight.This series is the best. Its like 9 different saving private ryans or full metal jackets or any of your favorite war movies but even better, in a 10 part series.Forget about band of brothers, The Pacific makes you really respect all the players in this series, excellent personalities to the point where I dont think anyone else was meant for any of their roles. The score makes you ponder life before during and after the war, perfect in every sense. Hands down a 10 star series with only a maximum of 5 being allowed. I have watched this series from beginning to end at least 10 times, simply marvelous
