I have been a fan of horror movies from the 70s until now and this movie defies all logics. Now don't get me wrong, I know movies are dramatized fiction; but this movie just didn't make any sense on any level. This must have been the dumbest family ever to exist in the dumbest movie. The outcome of incidents didn't match any of characters responses to make the movie even close to been practical. Why let his daughter walk alone while he drove. Her boyfriend was found brutally murdered and yet all seems not suspicious of the woods. No one question why all watches stop at 7:30 pm. Who stops in the middle of nowhere at night to pick up and converse with a woman dressed in white claiming to hold a baby smothered in a blanket that would suffocate the baby. And the list goes on.

A horror movie with a total different flavor. The director made the element of surprise inclusive while balancing comedy and the contrast of social status between black and white and still made it scary and intriguing as hell. This is a very unique mix, yet a very difficult and skillful task for a first time director to pull off and be successful. If you are racist then you may not enjoy the storyline but if you are a person of rationality then you can relate and understand. Take the movie at face value and enjoy. A must see for horror fans.
