Going through a challenging time in my career, I listened to a quick summary about "The Mindset" and decided to purchase the book.
I enjoyed the first and the second chapters "fixed vs growth mindset" with many examples.
By the third chapter, the examples felt excessive and not really adding much value.
Afterwards, the book became really insightful to me with all real-life applications of "The mindset". Talk about CEOs, employees, companies cultures, relationships, bullies and victims, parents, teachers, ...
Like any self development book, you don't have to agree with everything but you'd find some insights here and there that resonate with you.
I recommend this book if
- you tend to fear judgment, get into defense mode in difficult situations or see challenging situations as a threat to your personal value
- If you are looking to grow on a personal level or a professional level
- If you're a parent and noticing "fixed mindset" behavior in your kids
