Magadonian (Trump's term, not mine) apologists aside, this viewing of the rise and fall of Hitler and Nazi Germany do have a few interesting and alarming parallels for the present day and times. Especially how a people can fall under the spell of a demagogue and live in denial and chosen ignorance. Humanity must be honest with itself. It's also a great telling of how decency, democracy, and the better angels of human nature can and will become victorious -- but at a cost.
