I can't believe that this is the last time we will see you in a film SSR. You were absolutely amazing, quirky, full of life and the emotion that you put into the character Manny was unforgettable. The ending of Dil Bechara was hard to digest but it was perfectly done especially since it unknowingly reflected your life. It is sad how much the movie reflected you and your words you would also say in real life, it felt all too real. It was hard not to get emotional every second you were on screen because of the heartfelt and loveable character that you played. We, of course cannot forget Sanjana, she played Kizie so well, I believed her struggles that her character faced during the film and the chemistry that she had with Sushant was effortless, so much so, that I felt their friendship radiating off the screen. I am grateful that I got to see this film. We will always live you SSR and will never stop fighting for your justice every day.

I found the premise of this show really quite captivating actually. They took the old saying of "Love is Blind" and tried to implement it in a literal sense. With many of these types of marriage "experiments" most of the time they fail, because love is something that cannot be measured in plain numbers. Having connections with people whether you see them or not does not guarantee they would fall in love either way. Everyone has their own personal experiences and journeys that are mapped out for them. I would say in a general sense that love is blind because no one is perfect and it is human nature to overlook certain faults that people have. Additionally, it was sad to see the misconstrues of the words 'I LOVE YOU" when on some occasions, a few couples did not actually show it as intended. I am happy for the couples that got to marry the love of their lives but saddened for those who wanted to get married but were left at the altar. It was an embarrassing situation to watch, but hopefully, they find their way through it and meet whomever they are supposed to be with. I know everyone is soul searching for that intense love, but sometimes it does not always have to be that way. It is about the person who will stick with you through thick and thin, loving, caring, supportive, kind and is your best friend. You never know, you can grow to fall head over heels for them eventually. There are couples who are so madly in love but they do not last because life hits them. There is no foolproof formula for love. I think it's all in your destiny, timing, and karma. In other words, whatever you put out into the world you will receive in return.

It was really unclear to me what was the moral essence that the writers were trying to convey with the characters surrounding infidelity. From my perspective, it seemed like they were trying to romanticize or justify infidelity between Nandani and Kunal, which had no reason behind it on Kunal`s part. I understand that in reality people cheat in relationships due to many reasons such as unhappiness, domestic abuse in Nandani`s case or just plain lack of commitment. There is nothing wrong with making a show about infidelity, but by no means there should be justification of it when the two main characters were in the wrong. It can be deemed as quite insensitive to individuals who have gone through a similar situation. Relationship wise, Kunal had such a compatible and strong marriage with Mauli. She was never abusive towards him, she was supportive, always loving and caring and best of all they were both doctors. There really was no reason for him to cheat on Mauli with Nandani. If the writers made Mauli a much more flawed character similar to Nandani`s husband, maybe the concept would have worked better. Consequently, it became very difficult to support Nandani and Kunal`s relationship on a morality basis. On the other hand, one can view it as, the writers were trying to highlight the fact that there are many occasions where no matter how good you are to people who are your own, they are not truly honest with you or themselves. You as a viewer are subjected to witness the negative impact of infidelity that this caused within the family, the friendships and the husband-wife relationship. Maybe they wanted to show us what not to do and that in life you just have to move on from people like that. It is really all subjective at the end of the day. Would I say it is a terrible show? No, the acting was good and there were no saas-bahu and property drama, which was a relief. However, if you are someone to get triggered by this subject easily then I would not recommend it.

The good old days when Kasamh Se used to air on Zee TV. I used to watch this show with my grandma and aunty growing up, it was part of our daily regiment and basically we could not go a day without watching it. I have to admit that my guilty pleasure was Kasamh Se. So out of the blue, ten years later, I have now decided to somewhat review it, even though I barely remember anything. I cannot, not talk about that legendary scene though, where Bani rolls down the window of her car and Jai goes into the deepest shock of his life to a point where the editing just went on crack. I can`t remember why he was at level 10 shock mode, but I guess you have to watch it to find out. In my books, I truly felt the depth of his emotions there. If I saw my ex just casually roll down the window like that, I would react the same way too. As many avid cricket fans would say "Sachin is not just a player, he is an emotion!" I can almost say the same about Kasamh Se(not really) that this is not just a show, but it is emotions. That could either mean allowing you to laugh hysterically at the dramatic editing, be emotionally connected to the tumultuous characters' relationships or just have it act both as a destresser and a stresser depending on your needs. You know, take it or leave it. I would recommend just enjoy the show for what it is, if you are soul searching for some logic, Kasamh Se would absolutely be a "winner" in that department ;). If you are looking to enjoy watching Ram Kapoor in his younger days, with his fab hair, all I would say is "Jaa Simran jaa, jeele apni zindagi :,)."

I am a huge fan of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals and Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahani falls pretty close to the top of that list when it comes to supernatural television shows. Sure, it was loosely based on the Twilight series and TVD, but in my opinion it was "a better love story than Twilight!" It was not the exact story line which was great, and the writers tried their best to write their own story line which I appreciated.The cast was amazing, they were modern, fun, mysterious, witty and stylish. The director did a great job with making the characters feel natural and relatable to teenage and young adult viewers. There is nothing better when they make a show that allows you to feel a special connection with each of the characters. Abhay and Pia`s chemistry was the highlight of the show. I could not help but smile ear to ear every time they had their romantic scenes together. I mean sure some of the lines were a bit cheesy and it is not the best in terms of the production value, buuut, it is very easy to pardon all of it. I also liked the fact that they did not make a million villains like they usually do with many Indian daily soaps. They kept it focused upon one villain at a time, which allowed for much more character development and backstory of each of the villains. Thus, you as the viewer can understand why they are the way they are. It`s fun to have a love-hate relationship with villains and the director does a good job with allowing room for the audience to feel both. There were also some quite good twists and turns in the show, which did not make it too predictable, which happens with many romantic stories. I thoroughly enjoyed this show and I highly recommend it, if you are looking for a good Indian, supernatural, love story.
