It's so slow. Lots of flash backs. Flashbacks remove dramatic tension because we already know the character will be safe. The only time flashbacks are good is if there's going to be some sort of pay off. See how I met your mother. Yes. The whole show is one big flashback, but it also has a prospective (yet poorly executed) payoff. We don't know a pay off ahead of time. We're just watching these flashbacks to watch them.
