Few people realize how devastatingly true this film is about women's relationships with each other and how terribly toxic it can be. They tend not to look past the "iconic quotes" and "on Wednesdays we wear pink". Tina Fey's message has been left in the shadows by the media, the same media she was criticising in the film.

A dark comedy and arguably Martin McDonagh's best film, in Brugge masterfully tackles such deep concepts as morality and how to live with a guilty conscience. The smart dialogue, beautiful cinematography, and brilliant writing all make this one of my favorite films.
