Everything that was funny or entertaining from the original was taken out. Were is mushu or the cricket??!!! it wasn't like they couldn't include them because it was too fictional as they included a whitch that could turn into a bird that no one cared about. I get the feminist theme but even I as a girl think the movie was pushing it to much. The casting was good but the script made all the characters one dimensional, I knew exactly what was going to happen every second of the movie. I liked that they added new elements but somehow they made it so fast pase that I am sure this movie could have been at least 4 hours. I would have preferred if they make it longer and did character development, as it feels that there's none.
