It was good but maybe a bit drawn out, in my humble opinion

I just finished Bring Me Back on audio. I picked this book from the library because her other books- Behind Closed Doors and The Therapist were in my option, amazing! I feel like it was just a rough patch and am very excited to delve into the next one on my list. I think I’ll read The Dilemma. If I’d have thought to read through these reviews, I probably would’ve skipped over this one. It was unrealistic and a few things and even characters just seemed like filler.

What an awesome book. I couldn’t put it down

I find it very odd that the book is written in first person perspective, but the dialogue doesn’t match the intention or actions of each character whatsoever. An example: their inner dialogue acts surprised, confused or scared when in reality it’s none of those emotions. I’m not sure if that makes sense at all. I have also read another of her books, ***Spoiler Alert*** The Perfect Marriage, and it was the same thing. The main character’s inner thoughts expressed surprise at the murder of her husband’s mistress, and even the fact that there WAS a mistress- when in reality- she was the one who killed the mistress. It doesn’t make sense that the main character’s thoughts don’t align with the events of the story. I’m not sure if it makes sense the way I’m saying it. But because of seemingly trending way of writing- I think I will not read any more of her books. Just my humble opinion.
