Mass comedy entertainer to watch with family. It's really a stress buster and I laughed out loud in theatres after long time. Eventhough there no logic for laughter , definitely it's definitely worth watching. Santhanam has done a great job, thambi ramaiah and lollu sabha supporting actors too played a great role. One lag is Barbie music is very poor and that alone can be eliminated in the movie.

I am really feeling jealous why I wasn't born during 80's period eventhough I have a pride , that I am a 90's kid. The movie begins with a catch of westindies best batsman "Vivian Richards" caught by former Indian Captain "Kapil Dev" as this precious moment forms the title card "83". The entry of PR Maan Singh, manager of former Indian cricket team, gives a positive start as it shows how he safeguards Indian players from the tauntings of Journalists and spectators. The way Kapil Dev handles the emotions as the former senior Journalist Mr David frith teases Indian team in the English Newspapers that " He ll eat the paper if India Wins the world Cup" shows Kapil's responsibility in uplifting the Indian team to next level. Eventhough at the initial stage when India won two matches had a positive impact, but our players while returning back to hotel after losing two matches against Australia and West Indies ,the way the young boy along with his dad waving our Indian flag( " கொடியேற்று") playing in the background gives an utter Goosebumps as the patriotism aroused in my soul and made me to cry emotionally within my heart.I always cry while watching this interval block moment. The mannerism of Kapil Dev's wife Romie Bhatia while arriving in the airport & meets Kapil Dev renders her love towards him by reinforcing him positively. Kapil also shows gratitude to Keke Tarapore sir for providing him adequate 4 chappatis during his practice in under 19 Cricket tournament . The " Do or Die" situation arises when Team India loses four wickets against Zimbabwe consistently and Kapil Dev safeguards our Indian team by smashing 6's and 4's by making 175 runs(not out) is the biggest epic of all time. I wept for this magical history too. Before the final match against the west indies ,in the hotel Kapil Dev's emotional bonding With his wife to win in final shows the true love between the cute pair . That's when I came to know that Kapil's pet name is Kukku. The final match is at the end of the tether as India finishes off by 183 (all out). Kapil Dev strategizes to win in this critical moment by motivating his team members Kith and Kin in fielding and bowling to bring India to Limelight by keeping an bullets eye in the world cup was not an easy task at all. Hatts of to Mohinder Amarnath for taking final wicket too. Overall the 83 Worldcup is the greatest achievement of all time. Hence 83 is a Magnum Opus and hatts off to the director Kabir Khan for working down to earth in the script to show the exact 80's period Indian Culture. This is my favourite Evergreen movie of all time.Till now I have watched the movie 15 times and didn't even got fed-up. I have the feel of watching a new movie everytime as I watch 83. Kudos!!!
