Its a good book / research paper that highlights the elite lifestyle of Pakistan. Majority of the time Lahore has been discussed only by the author and how the elite’s are running business across Lahore and other states. The author has highlighted the business methods and how the elite’s socialise in their circle. Somethings were new like the history of Pakistan and how the governments pulled each other down to gain power. Learning about social clubs and how they got memberships of those clubs was new. I know a few people who have got the membership of some prominent clubs mentioned in the book, but they don’t fall in the Elite class. It was also interesting to see how elite’s maintain a low profile and some live a lavish lifestyle. Another thing that I have noted in the book is that on page 60 and on page 81, the name of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto has been spelled in 2 different ways. This might not be a big issue, but you cannot get the name of the historical figure incorrect. And it is way too over priced at $50 and more for a paperback edition.
