My favorite Bette Midler movie. If you grew up in that era and appreciate the style of music you will enjoy this movie. Great story with an excellent cast to boot. Bett's voice was raunchy and rockin.

I have no idea who or why anyone is giving this anything more then 2 stars. It is slow and boring. I actually found myself yelling at the screen saying SAY SOMETHING! This new type of movie writing where the actors say 5 whispering words with 10 seconds of silence in between lines is so lame. Nobody talks like that! The story line goes no where and it goes there ever so slowely. After being bored for over an hour hoping for something to happen I finally gave up and shut it off.

Its a good movie that is pretty realistic. Definitly not a typical Hollywood movie. Its a little longer then it should have been so It can be a little slow at times. But all in all a decent watch.

What could have been a good movie with a very interesting plot turns out to be a low budget, cheep movie with terrible nonsensical and ridiculous diologue. So ridiculous that it made the actors look bad. Not their fault.
