Senjutee Biswas

The movie is an aesthetic pleasure to watch. The casting and setting set the mood from the very beginning. The coexistence of a married couple with the husband's beloved , challenges the heteronornormative conventional way of looking at a marriage. In Indian social system marriage is seen to be a sacred relationship between two families of the couple but here Maya threatens that very root of "pure bond". The ending leaves a question mark about the undercurrents of the politics of love.
