Fantastic book. A devastating story of the brutality of the residential school system, Canada’s history of mistreatment and racism towards indigenous people, and the long term impact of the policies and culture that created them.
The book also does an amazing job romanticizing and describing the roots and beauty of hockey. Highly recommend.
