Sorry this movie just didn’t do it for me. The constant jumping from time to time and scene to scene made it confusing to follow what was going on. As the viewer we’re not supposed to be as confused as the protagonist. Also the actors weren’t believable. A pioneer guy offering to make dinner? I don’t think so! A pioneer woman with gorgeous modern day highlights and beautifully shaven legs? Nope! I guess I’m just one for some historical accuracy if I’m going to watch a period piece of any drama. The scene in the beginning when they’re burying the neighbor lady who we are supposed to believe shot her head off but is yet perfectly preserved on the other side like a porcelain doll is much of a stretch. Also I laughed so hard when the reverend suddenly transforms… or does he? I don’t know because I went as crazy as the main characters trying to just keep up with this choppy plot and cardboard dialogue! Sadly this is 2 hours of my life I shall never have back. I don’t recommend you watch this one.

An episode and a half in and I feel so let down. I am a huge Star Trek fan (all series) and I thought the plot sounded engaging and interesting. I was doing ok until Niko pulled a Walker Texas Ranger on her crew after they mutiny because she actually tried to save their lives. They lifted a lot of technique and material from Star Trek especially in the fighting (Vulcan neck squeeze). The characters were so obnoxiously emotionally immature and unstable I just couldn’t watch another minute. I want Away to come back it was a much better show and this one lifted a lot of the same character structures from that too (female leader leaves derpy science husband and daughter behind). It is a poorly written show with a lot of derivative material from better Sci Fi shows. This was a real let down.
