So,yeah was forced to read this book in school and hated it
I think the book helped me stop picking my socks even though it let me do hair twisting and hair sucking. It didn’t really change my outlook on life. The skits helped me understand the skits better,it’s just that Sawyer’s and James' versions were not really appropriate.I would recommend this to a kid like me who is struggling with something similar. No,I wouldn’t go out and buy a book. I already have a whole book collection at home.
What I liked about this book is how they did the drawings to help you better understand the habits. They were good and really helped. What I didn’t like was on a section called “Rise Above Abuse” cause it mentioned a raped girl and I almost had problems because it was a inappropriate class topic.
This book is really good but it did have some serious stuff in the book like drugs and other weird stuff mentioned in the book(like I’ve mentioned about the Rise Above Abuse) and some non serious stuff like some of the examples they had. This book is Kid and Adult friendly at some times, but I rate it at 3 out of 5 stars. Book is still dang good and it also might help me later on (If my hair gets worse).
So yeah, you can read if you want and I still am doing habits that are good + bad.
