Walsh attempts to bring in both sides, but the illogical argument offered in academia simply offers no scientific justification. The theorists in ivory towers can close off (cut the mic) conversations all day, but that doesn’t make a man a woman or vice versa. Biology dictates and trumps whims, desires, and surgeries. A person cannot actually change their chromosomes into the opposite sex just because they long for that.
Most interesting part of the film from my perspective is, the historical roots of this movement. It began with abusive men in academia (Alfred Kinsey and John Money) who liked to experiment on children surgically and sexually.
I was also interested in the reactions from people in other cultures to the Trans world. They don’t understand this phenomenon at all which says to me this is all learned and cultural.
