Incredible cast. Was very moved by Kirstie Alley’s performance. Very believable and though this is a very different role for her, she makes the character pull at the heart. Another surprise was Shirley MacClaine. Again, a totally different character for her, her performance is amazing. Rebecca deMornay’s performance is very surprisingly impressive. I have seen this movie advertised for years but always skipped over it because I wrongly accused Alley’s past silly roles as a poor choice for such a character. I’m glad I finally took a chance and watched it. I will watch it a second time for the first viewing was such a surprise that I want to really watch the movie without prejudice. I highly recommend.

I tried to like Chad. I really did. I knew going in that a 30+ year-old woman would be portraying Chad. Ok. It can be done. Not in this case. Bad makeup, bad wig. Nope. Then I began to wonder if Chad had a learning disability. That would be fine to portray a kid with some kind of learning disability; we could use some shows like that! Watching episode 2, I was confused. Even kids from Iran don’t behave like Chad does. I don’t think I’ve laughed once. I’ve cringed many times. I’ll watch one more episode and see how it goes. I do like the family and the mom’s boyfriend. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The third in The Conjuring series does not disappoint. This telling is more of a paranormal mystery. Farmiga had me doing double-takes as she looked exactly like the real Lorraine. I won’t give away any more only to suggest that you watch! Bravo!

Such sap. Predictable sap. Was really hoping to like this show but it’s terrible.
