I give it 4 stars for two reasons. Firstly because Sam Neil cannot pull off an American accent (so sorry Mr Neil, you are a legend, love your work). And yes, the characters fell a little short: it would have been nice if the film had gone for longer to allow for character development. I would have like to have learnt more about Paige’s family and others from her past, the connections between her and them. To learn that would have given Paige more depth.
It is romantic, sometimes a bit cheesy, but a lovely story. I like to think that people, such as Leo, exist in the world, that love like this exists in the world.
