Bravo. She is pure oxygen. A roar in the dark. Hold back on your criticism. Just listen to what she has to say! Create a platform, a safe space for her to be able to do that. That is how we should approach victims of abuse, whether it be sexual, physical or emotional. The book is fantastic and the film takes the experiences lived by ‘Ani’ and breathes fire into it. Well done Mila Kunis (love your work). Highly recommend.

I give it 4 stars for two reasons. Firstly because Sam Neil cannot pull off an American accent (so sorry Mr Neil, you are a legend, love your work). And yes, the characters fell a little short: it would have been nice if the film had gone for longer to allow for character development. I would have like to have learnt more about Paige’s family and others from her past, the connections between her and them. To learn that would have given Paige more depth. It is romantic, sometimes a bit cheesy, but a lovely story. I like to think that people, such as Leo, exist in the world, that love like this exists in the world.

Oh, where has this show been all my life! The characters have soul, some very carefully placed giving periods of levity in what is predominant a somber, suspenseful, heartbreaking story. Fantastic directing. fantastic writing, fantastic acting. Cannot recommend this highly enough. Even though everything in the end was resolved and so beautifully too as love, friendship and comradely conquer all, please consider a season two! We need.more Mare on our screens!

Having listened to Wonderys Dr Death series this show had a lot to live up to. The shock and awe that resonated so successfully in the podcast felt some what muted in the show, having the perspective jump between perpetrator and victim (listen to series one of the podcast if you’re not sure what I’m talking about), I found it difficult to find the voice of those who were affected irreparably by Dr Duntsch, but found it interesting to see these events unfold from the eyes of those medical professionals. I did think their portrayal of Jerry was very sympathetic, being one of the most heartbreaking but also resilient stories I’ve ever heard about. Joshua Jackson was brilliant at capturing such a complex character. It was refreshing to see him launched into a darker role. Alec Baldwin and Christopher Slater gave great performances but were an odd pairing. The cinematography was creative and effective with translating state of mind in scenes with drug use and portraying emotion, I still prefer the podcast but this show is worth watching.
