it wasnt terrible, but it could have been better. i wanted to get invested in the case at hand, but chris rock cracking dumb jokes every 5 minutes really took me out of it. for the first half of the movie its hard to tell if its supposed to be a horror movie or a dark comedy, because the tone was all over the place. that being said, it did bring some refreshing ideas to the series. rather than targeting individuals, the jigsaw copycat aims to target the police department as an organization, which i found pretty interesting. the ending was hopeless and shocking, as a saw movie ending should be.
