Cheap in every which way. Script sounds like it's been written by a badly trained AI, the sets are miserable, the acting is pathetic, and it's all completely unrealistic, and - worse - utterly uninteresting. They managed to make the sex scene unsexy. I was expecting a new Versailles, we ended up with a school production by untalented students. Wouldn't recommend, if you haven't figured out.

Pointless, plotless, more of a witch-hunt than a movie, surely this we be remembered as Scott’s Waterloo : badly planned, badly executed.

I get why some can love it. I (really) didn’t. It’s too long - 2 hours too long - over-written, sensationalist. I couldn’t care less what was happening on the screen, I just wanted it to be over. No interest whatsoever.
