In all fairness I really didn’t think I would like this movie and ended up loving it! It was well cast and the story is amazing. The directing and cinematic elements were fantastic and made you feel the panic and desperation the characters felt.

I would not give this movie and amazing rating, but it wasn’t bad either. The story was good and the acting decent-for me it was the mother figure that spent the most time both sad for and frustrated with. The ending was okay- but left something to be desired. I don’t feel like I wasted 1.5 hours of my life, but would probably never watch it again.

Hold on and grab a box of tissues or two- from the first ten minutes throughout the rest of the movie you are taken on a journey of grief, addiction, recovery, love, and forgiveness that will make you remember the hope for all of us.

Such a beautiful feel good movie that is made even more heartwarming that it is a true story. Having married into a Sicilian family- so many moments made me laugh with how accurate they were and cry with the deep love and determination (some may call it stubborn 😂) of this beautiful culture and amazing cooking!
