I read some of the negative reviews on Rotten Tomatoe, they made me sad. Yes, a woman can recover from the unspeakable abuses that Francine Rivers character, Angel/Sarah lived through…. But God. Yes, there are men like Michael who are chaste and love God so much that the love of a woman has nothing to do with sex. Hearing and listening to God’s call is real. A brother can love a brother with such depth as Michael did Paul that forgiveness of the unspeakable is possible. This movie is about forgiveness, agape love, renewal, redemption. It is a powerful book that was adapted well to the movie screen. Truly it is a top 5 book of all time for me. The movie did not disappoint!! Even my husband was drawn in and he has not read the book. Love between a man and woman is God’s design.
