Pretty mediocre pokemon game. Unfortunately, Japanese game developers don't really seems to care about player feedback when they're developing games and it shows.
Nobody wanted gigantamax pokemon. We got that.
Everyone wanted to be able to go back to past islands like Kanto and Johto. We didn't get that.
Nobody wanted mandatory full-party experience share. We got that.
Everyone wanted the full list of pokemon to play with. We didn't get that.
Everybody wanted to be able to play co-op with their friends. And they "sort of" included that with Max Raid Battles and Camping, but those are both such barebones and empty experiences that it could barely be considered co-op.
And as others have stated, the game itself is just way too easy. I found that there was really no need at all to pay attention to type advantages/disadvantages during the story mode, since the AI is so bad and their pokemon so weak that you can beat most of them just by spamming high damage attacks of any type.
In summary, this game is easy and boring. I wouldn't call it broken, and it runs fairly smoothly. The foundations of the game itself are just very barebones, and it's hard to get excited about playing it.
