I have read this book about Facebook, by Sarah Wynn-Williams. She is clearly a highly intelligent as well as enterprising, courageous and determined young woman. Who better to tell such a detailed, riveting story about working at senior level in a company which is having such a huge effect on the lives of tens of millions of people around the world. There is however one serious defect, which the publisher’s proof-readers should have eliminated: the author repeatedly refers to some heads of government, including the British prime minister, the German chancellor and the Japanese prime minister as “Heads of State” — which obviously they are not. This is such a basic, ignorant error, coming from a former diplomat, that it makes one wonder whether there are other major inaccuracies in her book. Notwithstanding, the author deserves huge congratulations for writing this gripping and very important book.
