Morbius levels of awful.
Venom 3 falls short in many areas, disappointing fans who expected more depth and engagement in the story. The plot feels disjointed, and instead of a tight, compelling narrative, we’re left with a story that’s full of unnecessary filler that fails to push the plot forward or develop its characters meaningfully.
One of the most frustrating elements is the underutilization of the main characters and the antagonist. Venom, a character rich with potential for complexity and humor, feels reduced to repetitive quips and one-liners, without much character progression or meaningful interactions. The antagonist, who could have been an intense counterpoint to Venom, comes across as flat and uninspired, with motivations that are poorly explained and often make little sense.
The pacing is erratic, bogged down by scenes that feel thrown in for runtime rather than impact, giving the movie a sense of aimlessness. Key plot points either happen too quickly without proper buildup or drag on without purpose. The end result is a movie that lacks coherence, excitement, and the dark charm that made Venom intriguing in previous films.
