sanjuro tsubaki

A very entertaining film, one of Kurosawa's best even though it never receives as much praise as the others. It probably has more humour than all his films combined, and is quite successful at it, while offering all that we love in his traditional work: suspenseful drama, masterful directing and great characters. No one could portray the wise nonchalant ronin as Toshiro Mifune did.
