Mindless, pointless, plotless gore. Movies like this give bad rep to the horror genre

I guess it goes without saying that this is VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE BOOK. That would be fine if the characters in the book were fictional but they're not. It's disrespectful, I mean we're talking about real people and they're making them look 1000 times worse than they are. Also it kind of does glorify drug use and other harmful things. But I can't lie, it was really entertaining. Also I really enjoyed the cinematography in this series. I just wish this was a story that didn't involve real names and people from the book, they could've just took some inspiration from it and made unique fictional characters.
