I've read everyone's reviews and I have decided to write one myself because honestly the reviews are all over the place. I have read the entire Twisted Series and the entire King of Sin (what has been released) like mentioned everywhere else, this book can be read as a stand alone (not recommended) and it follows the story of playboy Xavier and Hard-Working Sloane. Now, like many of the reviews say, I will have to agree this book is pretty predictable. Not only is it predictable but after reading BOTH series, it's very repetitive. The meet, fall in love, have sex, something bad happens, they fall out, then he say's a speech on how all the stars aligned the second he "laid his eyes on her" which...girl, and then they live happily ever after. Now what I will give props to is that Xavier is the only boy in the series that showed gradual and actual growth. With Dante, and all the other boys they were cold and weird from start to finish and it's even mentioned in the following books that even after starting a family AND getting everything they want, they are still really mean. Now for Sloane, there wasn't a moment she didn't piss me off. Just honestly really negative, it's one thing to self-sabotage, but that girl was on a whole different level. She was always contradicting herself, and every time something bad would happen to her, she would get incredible weird. Like oh noooo, if it isn't the consequence to my own actions?? Now what I will say is that her background story is really sad, and her grind is really inspiring, she just never allowed herself to be happy which was like..weird. Also not saying that people not crying is weird, but the way she kept MENTIONING IT. LIKE FOR 20 YEAR YOU DIDN'T CRY ONCE???? Idk the book wasn't worth the read. I love Ana but I think my time reading her books is over. It was fun and I do recommend her for beginners.
