thought this would be a great novel, because it was a great movie. let's just say that this wasn't a great novel. truly one of the seldom cases where the adaptation is better than the original. this is horrible. not horrible as in horribly written (though this was FAR too long for such a plot,) but horrible as in terrifying. abhorrent. utterly diabolical. i went in knowing that it would be crazy, but no amount of preparation could ready me up for this one. if you're an edgy sicko who's looking for 500 pages of violence, mania and sexual assault, this is my recommendation for you!
