This film is truly art at its finest. The way it externalises the internalised is so interesting and new making this film so much more interesting than another biopic, (of which there are many excellent ones if that’s what you’re looking for). Kristen Stewart is delivering a career best performance. She’s sublime here; totally disappearing into the role and giving a stunning and deeply nuanced performance. The film subverts a genres and feels at times like a phycological thriller or horror film and in others a coming of age jail brake film. It’s beautifully shot and the cinematography is stunning. The score is almost it’s own character and the supporting cast are excellent. My favoured Film of the year!
