I preferred the cleaner, cerebral plot of Get Out, but Us was entertaining. Once the threat got wider, going outside the family unit, I felt it lost the subtleness that made Get Out so intriguing. One interesting motif of note was the language ability indicator, drawing distinction between “man and beast.” Only the tethered Mother had language skill! The twist at the end clarified a lot of details. Very entertaining, but not better than Get Out. Hardcore horror fans will love it.
