This is the first YES album I bought, purchased in 1973 at a local record shop. I still remember taking off the wrapping and the smell of the ink of this 'triptych' LP and copious booklet. I knew music from 'Close to the Edge' and 'Fragile' but hadn't heard YES live yet ,nor any of the material from 'The Yes Album'. If you are new to YES music, and not afraid to dive into the deep end of the pool of '70s arena progressive rock at it's best, this would be a great place to start. It not only features the 'classic' line-up (Anderson, Howe, Squire, Wakeman & White) with a featured final appearance by Bill Bruford, but also a lot of jazzy improv from Howe, Squire and Bruford plus a Wakeman Eclectic Extravaganza solo spot. I wore out a couple copies of this record, and it hasn't been digitally remixed so still sounds as it should, sans surface noise! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
