After seeing the 1967 movie I really like this one better. So lovely to see Uma Thurman given the chance to dance and sing and be funny.

Taking people from their homes to be resettled in another (better) place. Having your head shaven, your fillings removed. You are only allowed to take one suitcase with your personal possessions.
This sort of thing happened during WWII. It was done to make the world a better place. But it was the misguided idea of a minority group with megalomaniac ideals.
Fascinating film outlining the way people can be fooled into fearing that the end is near and that those spreading the fear have a solution.
