Mark Steel

Like others I had high hopes as Luther TV series were great - gritty, good characters, good plots, and several hours of TV episodes to work through. So this was ok but predictable, and Luther jumped to several conclusions through it (almost clairvoyant..) baddy was awful. No real explanation of why he turned into serial killer. No real reason why he compiled dossier on Luther, which obviously got him put in prison, and out of the picture… but made no sense as the guy had been killing a lot of people for years? Also but gruesome in parts, bit unnecessary. And making people jump of buildings just because they had watched some porn or something ? Very odd. Wouldn’t watch again. Wish they had it back on TV.. or at least created series not films, films just seem too quick for a complex story.

Beautiful adaptation of A Man called Ove. Hanks is superb. The flashback backstory scenes are beautiful, romantic and tear jerking. One to watch again..
