Blah - I know it is the current 'thing' to push gender equality and all that stuff - its in every new show - but this show ratchets it up a couple notches - to the point that it is totally taking away from the whole mystery and sci-fi aspect of what the show is suppose to be. Wish for the old days when they made shows on a concept and not try to fill in some prescribed concept of how things should be. Anyway, looking at the ratings and viewer numbers, highly unlikely there will be a second season, so if you are one of those people that hate things just dropping off and no conclusion to a series, you might want to give a pass, or wait a few years to see if it survives
