This is actually great because it encapsulates everything that has gone wrong with Gez Z, both in a literal sense but very much a Meta perspective as well. From conception to production to release, how in the hell did this…anything? Rachel’s talents have been severely overestimated. I would feel very embarrassed to associate myself with this demographic, it’s that bad.

First Episode: I cannot stand Rhea Seahorn’s character. She is written with all the stereotypes of a hapless female: emotional, naive, dumb, annoying, emotional, reckless, angry, arrogant, oh and did I say…EMOTIONAL! Will change my score if her character evolves past whatever this is, but holy Christ the first episode was so difficult to get through. Whoever wrote it (Vince) doesn’t have a very high opinion of women

I’m giving it 1 star, not to troll, but because they couldn’t even manage to make this better than the 3 previous entries. The bar was so low, yet somehow this movie still failed. Literally no character development for a single…freaking…character. Galactus and Silver Surfer were completely wasted. Mole Man would have been the better villain. No stakes, no emotions, no laughs, poor cgi. The infinity saga feels like a fever dream at this point.

One of, if not the best prison movie from the last 20 years. I’d recommend looking up the “making of” on YouTube, it’s a very fascinating story and passion project for everyone involved. Nicolaj is incredible of course, but I found the supporting roles really make this movie what it is. Jeffrey Donovan and Holt McCallany knocked it out of the park as incarcerated members of the Aryan Brotherhood. I’m around a lot of ex-felons and it is clear these dudes did their homework. The movie is pretty dark, so know what you’re getting into

So far this is much better than Friendship. It feels a little more grounded and, there are other characters besides Tim that bring in the laughs. Still not on the level of Detroiters, but it’s a step in the right direction.

Enjoying it so far. The animation matches the voice acting pretty well, similar to Squidbillies. In terms of tone…reminds me of Chad and JT in cartoon form. Keeping it wholesome was the right choice too. Can definitely see Haha, You Clowns evolving over several seasons, much like Adult Swim’s best shows. Looking forward to more!

So far so bad. It’s all CGI and green screen. There also appears to be a significant DEI element to the story, which feels very out of place. Really takes from the immersion. Doesn’t help that the acting is very stiff. The only positive so far is they aren’t afraid to get pretty grotesque, which I like. Not holding out hope.

I’m finally convinced all reviewers are bought and paid for. People I trusted called this the “movie of the year.” The only reason I’m not giving it 1 star is for the cinematography, which was great. I initially felt it had potential, there were some genuinely scary moments in the first half of the film. But once the “bad” guy is introduced, you quickly realize it’s a straw house. Such a stupid premise…especially for a movie that wants to be taken seriously. Ironically I had similar feelings about Barbarian: started strong, ended silly. More than anything, I just don’t understand the universal praise. Both this and Barbarian are mediocre horror movies at best. Good elements yes, mostly in the film making, but stupid plots that leave you feeling cheated.

This is a disaster project. Tried to be so many different things and ended up being nothing. Disney can’t help themselves. They stick their fingers into every production and find a way to destroy it. Clearly thought the Alien franchise could appeal to a broader audience, namely Gen Z. Same mistake Romulus made, but at least that one got the world building and atmosphere right. Alien: Earth literally feels like it was brainstormed in a high school classroom
