This is one of my favorite scary movies of all time. Found footage/pov type horror films can definitely be hit or miss, however this one really freaked me out. The acting is actually good and makes you almost feel like you’re in the movie too. I find that a lot of scary movies over do it on the gore and jump scares but this film did just the right amount of both. It keeps you on your toes the whole time and the ending was such a good twist! Some people find it boring, but that just proves they weren’t paying attention the whole time. If you were actually in the same position as the characters in the movie, you’d be sh*tting yourself haha. Everyone has different taste when it comes to scary movies, but for me, the ones that scare me the most are kinds like this movie. The thought of not being able to escape and watching the characters frantically trying to leave when they couldn’t just really put me on edge. I’m currently watching the second movie and so far it as not as scary as the first, but that’s to be expected with sequels. There’s a third movie too that I also plan on watching.

I think the bad reviews are missing the point of this movie. It’s supposed to be stupid! It makes fun of self absorbed celebs by using A list celebrities stuck in a crisis situation. It’s just one big joke that partly makes fun of religion. If you wanna get stoned and watch a nonsense movie that was clearly made just for fun, then this is a good watch for you! I’ve seen this movie a couple times and it always makes me laugh. It is not meant to be taken seriously, that’s the whole point and joke to this movie.

I should have listened to the bad reviews. This movie could have been good because it’s a scary topic that happens in real life. Unfortunately, it was the most boring horror film of all time. It’s just suspense and nothing really happens until the end of the movie, which I hate. The characters do the stereotypical stuff like having no survival skills and making the worst possible decisions. Why wasn’t the first thing to call 911!? Why did they keep going back inside the house instead of fleeing? It reached a point where I didn’t even care if the characters lived or not because they were so stupid. Many reviews said it was the scariest movie they’ve ever seen and have even re-watched it multiple times because of how much they enjoyed this film. After seeing it for myself, I can’t possibly imagine how anyone would like this movie at all. It is quite literally just an hour and 20 minutes of the main characters going back and forth from inside and outside of the house until the intruders eventually tie them up and kill them. This movie is exactly what NOT to do when you’re in this position. Don’t waste your time watching unless you want to make fun of the main characters the whole time.

I’ve seen all the FD movies and loved them all (except the 4th one for obvious reasons) but I definitely think this one wasn’t too bad! The deaths were pretty creative and a little funny, but not in a cheesy way. I thought the film over all was fairly good. It’s hard to make a sequel to a film, let alone a 5th one, but I think the acting was good enough for this movie to be pretty alright. The first three are the best by far in my opinion. I’m giving this one a 4/5 stars because it just wasn’t as good as the older ones. My favorite from best to worst would have to be, 3, 2, 1, 5, and lastly 4. Most people think the 2nd was the best, and I probably would agree with them if it weren’t for the fact I watched the 3rd movie first when I was young and just always liked that one the most. It’s a nostalgia movie for me for sure, and the actors in that one really worked for the vibe of the film series. Other than that, what I really liked about this last movie was the cleverness in having it end with the two last survivors getting on flight 180 where the first movie took place! Great way to end it and tie everything up. I will always love this movie series and highly recommend watching all of them (except 4) if you like this type of genre! *** I’m not kidding about the 4th one! It seriously isn’t worth watching with how terrible the acting is and how much they rely on THE WORST cgi ever! The whole point of the series is the clever, bizarre ways the survivors slowly go out. The 4th movie didn’t do anything cool and even the opening scene with the nascar driving was stupid. Only watch it if you just wanna say you watched all 5. Or just say you did 😂

IT’S NOT WHAT YOU THINK!! YOU WILL BE VERY ANNOYED THE ENTIRE TIME!! First half of this movie I thought I had it all figured out. Jennifer was a character that portrays someone who gets ignored constantly and has no voice whatsoever. I thought the film was trying to use metaphors as a way of getting the message across that you have to speak up and stand up for yourself if life keeps pushing you down. However, once the movie finally finished after a whole two hours I realized I was sorely mistaken. The movie is supposedly about mother earth (the wife), God (the husband), the baby (jesus christ) and the house (earth itself). This just left me insanely confused and unable to process my own thoughts. The way the first half of the movie was very slow paced and then out of no where, everything is moving a mile a minute. I see what the director was trying to do but it was just so poorly executed. If you make a film that leaves the audience not only very confused, but distraught and frustrated, you didn’t make a good movie. Nothing tied together and I had to look up the meaning behind the whole movie online. Even now knowing the answers to my questions, I still feel uncomfortable and confused. I watched this movie with my boyfriend and we both sat in silence when it ended. Neither of us knew what just happened and absolutely DO NOT recommend this movie to anyone!! I started bawling when they took her baby and ate it in front of her!! I know this was meant to be a horror movie but it was such a sick and twisted end that didn’t make up for how terrible the movie was. I honestly think a better ending would have been this; Instead of her giving her husband her “heart” to reset the whole house back to normal, I feel as thought the baby being born should have been what reset everything that happened. I wish the husband and all the people disappeared and it ended with her happy and alone with her baby. Kind of like humanity being restored by the birth of a child. Overall, I love the acting and this film would have been so much better if they didn’t overdo it with all the nonsense! The concept was very hard to grasp and honestly I’ve never been MORE IRRITATED in my entire life! Also knowing that Jennifer hated doing this film makes me feel even more disappointed.
