It was an enjoyable read! The story follows a young girl struggling with money who suddenly discovers she’s the heir to a massive fortune. But, of course, no inheritance comes without drama! The plot revolves around unraveling identities, with a touch of murder to keep things interesting. While reading, it felt like watching a series or movie—engaging and vivid. A good read!

A fantastic read! I absolutely loved this book—Peter Swanson did not disappoint. The story follows Audrey and Corbin—her cousin, whom she’s never met (for a very valid reason). They agree to swap houses across the ocean for six months. Audrey’s reason for going along with this is made clear right from the start. Corbin seems like a good guy... and then the murder happens. Swanson wastes no time building suspense. The way the story unfolds is mind-blowing, offering a chilling peek into the minds of psychopaths who blend seamlessly into society. Fast-paced. Gripping. Absolutely worth reading. Totally recommend!

I picked up this book after seeing it recommended by some book readers on instagram, the reviews on google werent bad either. But like people, ratings can be deceiving too... The book was just OK. It was a drag to read. The suspense is carried on for too long that it kind of became a bore and a burden in the end. Half way through the book and I kept wondering what the mystery is. Chapters are too short, some being hardly 3 to 4 pages. Story moves quite slow, stretched for too long. The climax is good, could have come earlier on in the book but the author didnt need to put an additional climax to the climax.. Not too happy with the read.

4.5 stars An excellent read! The twists and climax are amazing, keeping you hooked throughout. The ending is completely unexpected and will take you by surprise. The story follows a woman who chooses to remain silent after brutally murdering her husband. As a reader, the question that constantly arises is, "Why?"—Why the silence? Why the murder? Why accept defeat without a fight in court? The author skillfully weaves all the elements from different chapters together, creating a seamless and beautifully connected narrative. By the end, the reader gains full clarity and understanding of all the actions—silent or otherwise—displayed by the protagonist, but in a brilliantly twisted way. Highly recommend

Giving 4 and half stars to this masterpiece. One of the best mystery, whodunit thrillers I read in recent times. The book starts fast, keeps you hooked from the first chapter till the last page. You think once the beans have spilled, the last few pages would be just a casual closure- nope. Keeps you wanting more! Many plot twists but in a good way. Riley Sager knows how to build up suspense. I am excited to read more of his work. Highly recommend!

Hmm... the book starts off well, but halfway through the book, i figured out the two plot twists the author tried to bring in. There weren't much of a twist though. You dont get attached to any character, you dont feel sorry for them. In graphical terms 📈 , it was a flat line. I was hoping for a major mind blowing moment in the end. But unfortunately, nothing. Can be enjoyed by "teenage" readers, its an OK kinda book which will leave u feeling disappointedfor sure. If you have got nothing better to read, then read this book. It's a time-pass kinda book. 1½ half stars. Spoilers ahead:- A few points that really bothered me- No back story for either derek or his relationship with Richard. Nothing about Richard's dark past which was mentioned so enthusiastically in one of the ending chapters. Cynthia and Graham were literally the unnecessary characters, there was no reason for the "Cynthia and Richards affair" twist to be included in the plot. Made absolutely no sense. Seems the author was trying to use Cynthia character in some way or another. Not much details about Anne's relationship with her father. Just a line or two considering she has certain episodes caused by the trauma of losing her father. More details were needed. Who kept Cora- just a line about the person who had Cora. What rubbish! Useless detectives. A very childish plot. Probably would have enjoyed reading it if I was a teenager.

This book. Wow. Initially, I was a bit skeptical about how the story would progress as in the beginning itself we get to know who the murderer is. There are some highs and lows in the book but the climax- kudos. Made it worth reading. 4 stars.
