Amazing, initially I had thought it of as an ASTRO Boy adaptation but it was so much more. Each hour long episode draws you deeper, layer upon layer of charecter emotions and history is laid bare to the audience. The main cast of charecters all play of each other and a mystery unravels episode by episode to an amazing pay off at the end. This IS a classic

Joaquin Phoenix is electric in his return as Joker in this sequel. Incorporating song into the sequel although eye-brow worthy is believable as Arthur's escape from reality. The set pieces and seeing Phoenix dance and sing is worth the ticket price alone. This sequel put's Joker on trial and we explore more of his backstory and his mental health is really brought into focus which I loved. However what I did not like was the ending, whilst their is something that could be said about not idolizing monsters. Todd Phillip's take on Joker did not achieve anything meaningful in the end. Just like the sea of supporters who were interested in the Joker at the trial, the disappointment that they and the people at prison in him when he went out with a whimper. The Joker 2 could have been so much more, explored so much more and given us a take on the Clown Prince of Crime. The first 2 acts while brilliant could not save the disappointing finale.

This is great. No annoying humans like the recent Godzilla american movies. It told a great story which explores post war guilt, the relationships that can be forged between people with no relation to each other and the indomitable Japanese spirit. I really liked the main charecters arc through this movie and the supporting case delivered powerful performances! Wow.

If you read any Batman comic books in the past, you will feel like this is ripped from the comics. This is not a "marvel" movie, this is not an action movie, this is full blown batman detective movie. Robert Pattinson delivers as year 2 Batman, still trying to figure if what hes doing is making a difference and building relationships with the GCPD. The Riddler, Catwoman, Penguin are all much more grounded in reality and aren't gimicky at all. It was a bit long, but still enjoyable. Perfect Batman movie for what it sets out to do.

Critics were expecting something else, HOWEVER for the type of movie that it is, I would say that it is fantastic 2 hours well spent and 5 stars at that. Yes their a lot of convenient plot points(a bit to many if you ask me), but if you forgive that you will have a great time with the key visuals (moon, space, explosions and rockets which is worth admission alone) and those who like sci-fi will enjoy some of the real life theories and models that have been used here. Comedy is great, the only negative I would have is that character development/moments feel a bit rushed, if you can forgive this and the convenience you will have a great time. I would very much like to see a sequel!
