Anonymous Unpopular Opinions

I think ive slowly watched roles change throughout the years Unpopular opinion: the race topic. When someone whitewashed a black character its either national news, the person is cancelled and harrassed, or both. But somehow blackwashing a white character is 100% ok. All these new shows coming out and all the shorts include POC, which is amazing representation, for poc. I havent seen many whites represented yet we preach for racial equality. There wont be any type of racial equality until whites can be included too. Completely changing Shaggy’s character and Velma’s skin tone after they’ve existed since the 1960s is blackwashing and i call racism. and it would be a huge issue if it was the other way around.
