Just awful - I was very exited to see Acolytes and the direction Leslye had gone because sometimes change is just needed! But it was a massive letdown, I just didn’t enjoy one second of any episode. It took months to finish the Acolyte because I had to watch the episodes in small chunks to stay focused and awake. The acting was awful, however I put this down to the awful writing and direction. I just didn’t fall in love with any of the characters, I didn’t feel attached or invested in any of the cast nor the storyline! Which is the complete opposite to all other Star Wars films and series I have watched. I struggled to even remember the characters names! It felt that the film wasn’t made to entertain people but rather conduct a $230 million social culture experiment at the expense of Disney. I don’t think Leslyse was the right person for the job - it’s obvious now that her resentment for Star Wars fans effected her ability to write and direct quality entertainment.

I didn’t enjoy season one and didn’t really enjoy season two. I was so hopeful that Amazon would be an incredible job with the big budget and resources available to them. But it just wasn’t an entertaining watch, the writing was lacking, the acting felt very forced and lacking direction, the combat scenes were clumsy and felt very fragmented and difficult to follow. I didn’t like where they took our beloved characters and how they portrayed them.
