I've read The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, Inferno, and The Lost Symbol, I've watched all the 3 films as well. Only the first two films are close enough to the book sequence.
The Lost Symbol tv series delivered the 1st and 2nd episodes somehow satisfying but the ff episodes made a lot of changes.
(1) Katherine being a daughter
(2) No Dean Galloway
(3) Sato not being the OS Director
(4) The ending! Gracious! Im getting a high blood!
(5) Lab of Kath getting burnt!
(6) How Trish died
(7) The revelation about Zachary! It did not deliver how the book delivers! The shocking moment! The highlight! The intense scene that'll make you teary eyed! On the tv series, it's just POOF! Done! Bye bye! So lame!
Nonetheless Mal'akh is astounding in the series! I also like Peter Solomon! They did justices to the character in the book! I also love the added characters on the series: Samyanza. It's also moving that they stretched the role of Nuñez which is a great contributing factor on the series.
Dan Brown's novels are already a force of breathtaking, moving, and thrilling scenes that has its utmost exciting factor in which it should have not be changed! The way on how the symbols and artifacts are being deciphered should also be highlighted well enough to make it more intense similar to the books!
Inferno and The Lost Symbol adaptations are utterly disappointments!!
Two stars for the effort of adapting the novel. 🤪
