FIRST AND FOREMOST: I agree with most of the movie opinions here. That love can be like this, relationships can be complex. Yada yada. The only thing I would point out is that even though the men in the movie cheated, they came forward with the truth. The women would have never mentioned it unless it was brought up and confronted. So you can't really go on and say that it was equal, because it wasn't fair. Even though there was infidelity on both sides. Honesty wasn't.
SIDE NODTE:
What I would like to add is, that love doesn't look like this. This is everything but love. This is just pure childish adult egoistic selfish games.
"Well that's just how it is in the real world" No, that's just how it is when you mess with a selfish spoiled brat that craves attention for breakfast. Just an insecure, unstable and a self centered personality. Love is discipline.
OVERALL: The movie is very well done, I'd say. The scenes are well planned, making the movie easy to focus on. Music, visuals, and characters are amazingly done for it's time.
Alice (Jane)
Jane is such an interesting character, showing us that throughout the movie we know nothing about her. Even though she gave her all, herself, to Dan - Why didn't he know her real name? I'd say she is always one step ahead, but is so complex once you start going into her character.
DAN:
Dan liked acting like he knows what he wants, while he was just chasing security. He doesn't know where his heads at. He's a failed journalist, nothing more.
ANNA? (Forgot the name)
Julia Robert's character likes passive control. She likes proving to herself she can have her way, by not being strongly expressive about it, it makes it seem as if she doesn't need anything or anyone. But her attitude just acts as a magnet for control freaks. She likes having them think they have control, while they have no idea what are her plans.
LARRY:
Larry. Hm. I'm still thinking about him. He seems like a deep character to me, when really he is a very simple man. Didn't seem so at first. I'm still collecting my opinion on him.
FINAL:
Overall, the movie made me stressed, and the ending had me shocked as hell. My mouth dropped to the floor. Jane is the main character. I wish we had an opportunity to follow her story from New York before and after London. Amazing. As I'm trying to comment on the overall movie experience, I keep going into the characters. It's just leaves you thinking.
