As usual, King goes beyond the superficial element of horror. Extremely well choreographed re/ visuals, music/auditory, & scenery. Suspense to kill! Acting fantastic, esp. Nicholson. Gradual escalation of evil climaxes lends to the unanswered question of what Overlook Hotel will eventually be capable of via its negative spiritual warriors.
