Don't be fooled by the "straight to DVD" picture on your Amazon Prime feed - this is a watchable and claustrophobic thriller which only fails because the characters are not really fleshed out sufficiently to allow you to care about them. The whole film is set in the flight deck of a hijacked A320 aircraft (the 7500 refers to the international transponder card for hijacking) and while not entirely accurate, it is clear that the producers have worked hard to make the environment realistic (I say this as a professional pilot myself).
The performances are excellent and Joseph Gordon-Levitt has a challenging task to keep the film flowing when he is the only person o screen. Its just a shame that we don;t really learn anything of the motivations of the hijackers which leaves them as rather two dimensional characters.
