I can see why people defend this film and might even score it a 10/10 which mainly is due to its underlying message, brilliant cinematography and great acting from JP, etc. However, I have to say indeed a film of this calibre AAA rated with a budget of c. $200m must deliver on these aspects of the film. Anyways, my honest view is you DO NOT SPEND ANY OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS FILM unless you are someone who loves drama and is content with subliminal messages then watch it at your own risk. The film was poorly executed, a film with a background and lore such as the Joker and its universe is not, personally, the right material to experiment with and send messages about society. 0/10 if I could.
